Terrina Chrishell Stause (born July 21 1981) is an American actress. She is most famous for her character Amanda Dillon in All My Children as well as Jordan Ridgeway on Days of Our Lives. Stause was an Draffenville, Kentucky native. She completed her B.A. at Murray State University. She began performing in the theater in 2003. Her middle name "Chrishell", a portmanteau, is due to the unique circumstances in which she was born the day her mother gave birth in a Shell station. Chris, an attendant was present to assist in the delivery of her baby. Strause says that the gossip about her birth is fabricated. She shared that her mother was having issues with her car, and she pulled to the station. In the midst of waiting in the gas station, she went into pre-labor and was helped by a car attendant who helped her get to the hospital. Strause was born in an in-hospital. Her mother wasn't aware that she was pregnant. She split up with her biological father, who was half Japanese and half Spanish. Jeff is her stepfather. Chrishell Strause had to live in a tent during middle school, and thus missed a full academic year. Strause remembers the time she washed her hair in a river eating food stamps, and hiding her true identity from her classmates. When she turned 10, her parents "struggled with addictions and mental health." She then was a member of the Worldwide Church of God. Strause describes her mother as having a self-righteous, free-spirited woman. Her mother did not have an occupation that was steady.
